I believe good psychiatric care starts with taking the time to truly listen and understand the full context of a person’s life, not just their symptoms. My goal is to provide thoughtful, practical care that helps patients feel more supported, more stable, and better able to navigate the challenges of everyday life.

My Story

My path through healthcare has taken me through a wide variety of settings and experiences over the past 25+ years.

I began my nursing career working in oncology and palliative care before moving to England, where I worked in several different healthcare settings including home care and sexual health. After taking time away from full-time clinical work to raise my three children, I continued working in more community-based roles including private doula work and school nursing.

I later returned to graduate school to complete both my MSN and doctoral training as an Advanced Practice Nurse, eventually working in primary care before pursuing additional post-graduate training in psychiatry.

Those experiences continue to shape the way I practice today. I believe mental health care should be thoughtful, collaborative, and accessible, with treatment plans that reflect the realities of everyday life and help patients move toward their own version of stability, health, and fulfillment.
